ARTICLE I
War Memorial Recreation Center and Gymnasium Committee

§ 7-1. Original election; membership; appointment.
The Town voted to elect a committee to be in charge of the construction and administration of the War Memorial Recreation Center and Gymnasium now being erected in the Village of Housatonic, Precinct B, to serve until the annual election in 1950, at which time s committee of five (5) shall be elected by ballot at said annual election, the members of said committee to be elected as follows: one (1) for one (1) year, one (1) for two (2) years, one(1) for three (3) years, one (1) for four (4) years and one (1) for five (5) years. Members of this Committee are now appointed by the Town Manager.
ARTICLE II
Finance Committee

§ 7-2. Establishment; purpose; membership.
There shall be a Finance Committee, which shall consider any and all financial questions for the purpose of making reports or recommendations to the town, said Finance Committee to be made up of five (5) members to be elected and to serve as follows: two (2) to serve for one (1) year, two (2) to serve for two (2) years and one (1) for three (3) years from the date of the annual meetings at which they are elected. Thereafter, when the term of any member expires, his successor shall be elected to serve for three (3) years. In all cases the members shall serve until their successors are elected and qualified.
§ 7-3. Election of Chairman.
The members of the Committee shall, after each Annual Election, elect one (1) of their members to act as Chairman for the ensuing year.
§ 7-4. Hearings on expenditures.
Before any Town Meeting the warrant for which calls for the expenditure of money or the disposal of any town property, the Finance Committee shall hold at least one (1) public hearing at which all persons interested may be heard on any article contained in the warrant, and said Committee shall make due report thereon at the Town meeting.
§ 7-5. Filling of vacancies.
Whenever a vacancy occurs in the Committee, by resignation, failing to qualify or otherwise, the same shall be filled in accordance with MGL C. 41, §11.
§ 7-6. Quarterly Meetings.
The Finance Committee shall meet quarterly to review receipts and expenditures of all departments under its jurisdiction.

§ 7-7. Creation.
It was voted that the Town Create a Regional Refuse Disposal Planning Committee according to MGL C. 40, §§44A through 44K.
