Absentee Ballots Available for Sept. 4 Primary Election

Are you off to college? Do you have election week travel plans?

Great Barrington registered voters who will be out of town during polling hours for the Massachusetts primary election -- Tuesday, Sept. 4, 7 a.m.- 8 p.m. -- may request an absentee ballot from the Town Clerk by filling out an absentee ballot application. Absentee voting ballots must be received at Town Hall by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31.

Absentee ballots can be obtained at the Town Clerk’s office during business hours, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Voters who are unable to visit Town Hall in person must complete absentee ballot application form and mail it to:

Family members may request an absentee ballot on behalf of a family member to be mailed to them.

On election day, the polls are open 7 a.m.-8 p.m., with residents of Precincts A, C and D voting at the Great Barrington Fire Station. Precinct B residents vote at the Housatonic Community Center.
