If the Great Barrington Pollinator Action Plan caught your attention, you may also be interested in another town sustainability project: Growing Better Great Barrington.

The town hosts a virtual public forum on this project on Thursday, Feb. 3, 6:30 - 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 3, 2:30-4 p.m.

Growing Better Great Barrington aims to develop a food system plan with practical recommendations to enhance climate resilience, environmental sustainability and community food security. A core principle of the project is that it be informed by a participatory stakeholder engagement process.

The first conversation will focus on a vision for community food security in a resilient future, identifying obstacles and possible solutions, and start resource mapping in this group. The second meeting will be based on the outcomes from the first meeting and the research being carried out by the Conway School in February.

The Grow Better Great Barrington core team includes Chris Rembold, Vivian Orlowski, Luke Pryjma, Jovanina Pagano, John Morrell.
