Town Lifts Parking Time Limits for Holiday Season

The Selectboard has temporarily lifted downtown parking time limits for the holiday shopping season.

"We do this each year to help support our downtown businesses, to allow people more time to shop, eat and browse," said Selectboard Chair Stephen Bannon.

The change will remain in place until Dec. 31.

The easing of parking time limits does not change the town's winter overnight parking ban, which prohibits overnight on-street parking during winter months.

The easing of parking time limits coincides with the year's Holiday Stroll, which takes place this Saturday, Dec. 10, 3-8 p.m.
