Affordable Housing Trust Fund
The mission of the Great Barrington Affordable Housing Trust Fund is to provide housing options that are affordable to low and moderate income households in Great Barrington. Programs include:
- The Town of Great Barrington’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund is partnering with Construct, Inc. to provide emergency rental assistance to Great Barrington tenants and landlords who find themselves financially struggling during the COVID-19 crisis. For more information click here.

The Affordable Housing Trust Fund was established by a Town Meeting vote in May of 2017, in accordance with Section 55C of MGL Chapter 44. The purpose of the Trust is to provide for the creation and preservation of affordable housing in Great Barrington, for the benefit of low and moderate income households, as defined by the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development or successor agency (DHCD), and for the funding of community housing, as defined in and in accordance with the provisions of G.L. Chapter 44, §55C.
