Recycling/Trash Fees
Stickers are available only for the residents of Great Barrington and Housatonic.
The Transfer Station can be used for recycling for paper/cardboard, plastic, metal/cans and glass at no charge.
Please Note: These stickers are for July 1 through June 30.
A Residential Sticker costs $40 per year
- This residential sticker allows residents to purchase individual trash bag stickers for trash disposal.
Trash bag stickers are available in 2 sizes:
- 13 gallon (kitchen size) cost $1.50
- 30 gallon (lawn & leaf size) cost $3.25
An Annual Residential Sticker costs $350 per year. This sticker allows residents unlimited trash disposal.
- With this annual sticker, no individual trash bag stickers are required.

All stickers can be purchased online or at the Town Clerk's office during business hours on weekdays.
