Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes are billed on a Fiscal Year Quarterly Cycle.

Fiscal Year runs July 1 to June 30.

Preliminary Tax Bills are mailed before June 30th and include remittance stubs for both:
     Preliminary Quarter 1 : DUE AUGUST 1st
     Preliminary Quarter 2 : DUE NOVEMBER 1ST
        (a second mailing reminding you of your Q2 payment will NOT be sent)

Actual Tax Bills are mailed before December 30th and include remittance stubs for both:
     Actual Quarter 3 : DUE FEBRUARY 1st
     Actual Quarter 4 : DUE MAY 1st
         (a second mailing reminding you of your Q4 payment will NOT be sent)

Fiscal Year 2024 runs 7/1/2023 to 6/30/2024.

FY24 Q1 : DUE 8/1/2023
FY24 Q2 : DUE 11/1/2023
FY24 Q3 : DUE 2/1/2024
FY24 Q4 : DUE 5/1/2024

Payments and remittance stubs will now be mailed to a Boston Post Office Lockbox where they will be processed in a timely manner.

Payments may also be made:
     - online at townofgb.org via UNIPAY
     - in-person at Town Hall M-F 8:30am to 4:00pm
     - Drop-Box (check only) 24/7 – next to Town Hall Elevator Entrance

The Treasurer/Collector works to maximize investment earnings while keeping the funds 100% secure and safe and in accordance with Massachusetts General Law and our investment policy.

The Town Collector also serves as the Collector for the Great Barrington Fire District. All real estate, personal property, personal and excise taxes; sewer bills and charges are paid through this office.
