How to Make Tax Payments

Here are your options for paying your Great Barrington real estate taxes, personal property taxes, excise taxes, and sewer utility bills. 

In Person at Town Hall: 

You can pay any fee with cash, check, credit card or money order at the Treasurer/Collector's window at Town Hall.

           Collector's Office Hours are Monday- Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Mail:

You can mail your check or money order to:  (never mail cash)

Make all checks payable to: Town of Great Barrington 

  • Payments are due in the Collector's Office on or before the due date. Postmarks are not accepted. 

Online:

You can make payments from the convenience of your home, via the towns' UNIPAY system.

  • Any Credit Card or Debit Card will be assessed a sliding scale card fee based on total being charged.

  • Setup an ACH with your Checking Account & Routing Number and only be assessed a $0.50 fee for the transaction. That’s cheaper than a stamp!

  • With your UNIPAY account you can setup email reminders and autopay if you so choose.

  • Past Due Bills may not be available to pay online.

24/7 Drop Box: Located next to the handicap entrance of Town Hall

You may place your check or money order payable to "Town of Great Barrington" along with your remittance stub in the drop box. Please do not submit cash in the drop box.

Questions concerning your Assessment, Abatements, Exemptions and Mailing Address updates must be made with the Assessors Office.
