Wastewater Treatment
The Wastewater Treatment Facility is state-mandated and state regulated for operation and performance. It is overseen by Mass DEP and EPA. It is an Enterprise funded by users.
The facility cleans pollutants that would otherwise be introduced into the Housatonic River. We remove 98% of suspended solids as well as 98% of BOD.
