Overview

The purpose of the Housatonic Improvement Committee is to foster the social and cultural well-being of Housatonic. The committee will research, understand, evaluate, and advocate local issues, challenges, and opportunities encountered by those who live, work, and do business in Housatonic. They will review and make recommendations about the policies, procedures, services, and activities of the Town of Great Barrington's departments and agencies as they affect residents of Housatonic. They will also initiate, monitor, and promote legislation at the municipal, state, and federal levels that advance the prosperity and opportunity of Housatonic residents.
