Bus Stop Accessibility Project-Public Input Welcomed

The Town of Great Barrington is applying for a MassDOT Shared Streets grant to upgrade our 27 Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) bus stops and ensure ADA accessibility, so that essential transportation services are available for all residents. In this process, we will be considering aspects such as rider safety (vehicle pullouts, clearly indicated stop areas), convenience (clearly marked stops with route numbers, destinations, timetables, next bus times, and maps) and comfort (bus stop shelters, solar lighting for evening service, benches, and other amenities). We are seeking public input as we determine priority stop locations and key aspects for a phased rollout. Please join us on Wednesday, 16 February at 5:30pm to share your input via the Google Meets link found on the Public Input Meeting Notice (Agenda and link here). The Meeting Notice is located at www.townofgb.org. If you cannot attend the meeting, you are welcome to submit public comments via e-mail to Tate Coleman at tcoleman@townofgb.org no later than February 23, 2022 at 5pm.
