Welcome to the Town of Great Barrington's Short-Term Rental Registration Hub. This page contains all the information you need to register your Short-Term Rental and be in compliance with the by-law that was passed at the Annual Town Meeting in June of 2022. Staff appreciates your patience as we roll out this new process.
The Town contracted with Gov.os to assist in the process. Gov.os provides the website, or online portal, and all documents and fees go to the Town. The bylaw requires all Short-Term rentals be registered, even if they will only be rented for one night per year. The online portal allows you to easily upload the required documentation, and pay your registration fee.
We'd like to remind business owners that Hotels, Motels, Bed and Breakfasts and Lodging Houses that are licensed with the Town are not required to register if they happen to advertise their business on Short-Term rental sites.
