Town Clerk

The Town Clerk is responsible for maintaining records for the Town as well as being the point of dissemination of information to citizens of the town. Vital statistics, licenses, public notices, town meeting information, Zoning Board decisions,business certificates, and fuel storage permits are all issued from this office as well the issuing of recycling and tag sale permits are handled through this office.

The other chief function is elections. Voting lists, ballot preparation, certification of nomination papers and initiative petitions, voter registrations, and annual census are all handled from this office.

** Effective January 1, 2020, the Town of Great Barrington's official 24 hr agenda posting location has changed from the bulletin board outside of the Town Hall to the Town's website**
