DPU Sets Hearing on HWW Rate Hike Settlement

The Department of Public Utilities will conduct a virtual public hearing on June 20 on the proposed rate increase settlement between the state Attorney General and Housatonic Water Works.

The DPU hearing is Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 7 p.m. Attendees can join the virtual public hearing by entering the link, https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82779314697  from a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

If the Department approves the Settlement, the monthly cost of water service for a residential customer with a 5/8-inch meter using 3,600 gallons per month would increase from $56.36 to $66.50 in Phase 1 and from $66.50 to $92.89 in Phase 2.
