Early Voting is Now Under Way; 10/24 is Voter Registration Deadline

How and when will you vote in the 2020 Presidential Election? Do you still need to register to vote?

Vote by Mail applications (and Absentee Voter applications) must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office no later than Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, 5 p.m. To apply for a ballot:

·      Download an early Vote By Mail application, or contact the Town Clerk’s office (413) 528-1619 ext. 3 to request that an application be sent to you.

·      If you request your application by mail, fax (413) 528-1026 or email (jmessina@townofgb.org) you must do so no later than Wednesday, Oct. 28, 5 p.m.

·      You may also apply to Vote By Mail in person to the Town Clerk’s office up until Monday, Nov. 2, at noon.

·      Completed election ballots must be returned by Nov. 3 to the Town Clerk’s office by 4 p.m., or from 4-8 p.m. in the Clerk’s drop box in front of Town Hall.

In-Person Early Voting takes place at the Town Clerk’s office from Saturday, Oct. 17 through Sunday, Oct. 28. Hours are as follows:

·      Saturday, Oct. 17, 9-11 a.m.

·      Sunday, Oct. 18, 10-noon

·      Monday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 23, 8:30-4 p.m.

·      Saturday, Oct. 24, 2-4 p.m.

·      Sunday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m.-noon

·      Monday, Oct. 25-Friday, Oct. 30, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Election Day voting takes place Tuesday, Nov. 3, 7 a.m.-8 p.m., at the Great Barrington Fire Department (Precincts A, C and D) and the Housatonic Community Center (Precinct B).

The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 3 election is Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020. Registration can take place online, or in-person at the Town Clerk’s office, no later than Saturday, Oct. 24, 2-4 p.m. or 7-8 p.m.2020 vote graphic
