In the News: How the Highway Department Takes on Winter Roads

Spectrum News visited the Great Barrington Highway Department this week ahead of the Monday storm to report on the town's winter road management routine. Reporter Dan Reidy produced this story.

Of special note: the town's use of a rock salt-molasses brine to melt snow on the roads when temperatures drop below about 20 degrees.
