The town hosts a free webinar, “Pesticides and Children’s Health: How Can We Protect Our Community?” on Tuesday, Nov. 14,  7-8:30 p.m., via Zoom (the original September event had been canceled).

The public is invited, and the Zoom link can be found on the town calendar here.

The talk will be presented by Sarah Evans, Ph.D., MPH. She is an assistant professor at the Department of Environmental Medicine and Public Health, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.

Evans is a neuroscientist focused on public education related to pediatric environmental health. She has created educational campaigns around child exposure to lead, pesticides and endocrine disruptors.

Dr. Evans will suggest practical guidelines to provide healthier non-pesticide environments for children, schools and communities.
