Transfer Station Resumes Mattress Disposal

The town waste transfer station has resumed accepting mattresses and box springs for disposal.

The cost per item is $65, and disposal permits can be purchased through the Town Clerk's office during business hours. No payments are accepted at the transfer station, and disposal is open only to Great Barrington and Housatonic residents.

Items must be clean and dry to be accepted. Free of rips, tears.
