Fire Safety

Fire safety

October is Fire Safety Month. The Board of Health would like to share Fire Safety with the public.

Whether you just arrived in Massachusetts or have lived here a long time use these fire safety tips in the booklet to stay safe.

Many people and organizations contributed their time, energy, skills and resources to make this project possible. The State Fire Marshal thanks them. Fire Safety for Newcomers is printed as a community service by the Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association (MPIUA), on behalf of all property and casualty insurance companies of Massachusetts. The MPIUA sponsors the Arson Watch Reward and Massachusetts Youth and Juvenile Firesetting Intervention Programs. Arson Watch Hotline:1-800-682-9229.

The illustrations in this booklet were created by the United State Fire Administration (USFA). USFA allowed the Department of Fire Services (DFS) to use their original illustrations, modify the illustrations, and create new illustrations in the same style. DFS thanks the USFA for their generosity and dedication to fire safety.
